Vastu Interior and Architect :
Vastu, derived from the Sanskrit word meaning a dwelling or house with land, is often misunderstood as solely related to Hindu cultural beliefs. However, it is a practical approach to peaceful living that transcends religion or ethnicity. Vastu Interior and Architects was founded in 2079 BS by a group of friends, some of whom had been in the industry since 2073 BS. The aftermath of the earthquake in Nepal saw a construction boom, highlighting issues in governance and construction quality. It underscores the crucial role of architects and designers in creating harmonious living spaces.
In Nepal, the practice of interior design has not been prevalent. Typically, people seek ideas for their interiors from friends who have experience or from contractors, carpenters, or others who can provide design plans. This trend continues today. The emergence of interior architecture firms in major Nepalese cities has been limited to those able to afford their premium services. However, there has been a recent surge in interior design firms operating throughout Nepal, including our own. We have witnessed the common challenges faced by individuals in designing their homes. While the cost of working with an interior designer is comparable to that of hiring a local contractor, the value derived from the former in terms of finishing and attention to detail is significantly greater.
